Portonics — Choosing television size

Guide id: tv-size-distance. Ask the visitor for: Distance from the sofa to the screen (metres).

English

What size television suits my room?

0–1.9 metres: Under about 2 metres, 43 inches is more comfortable. At 55 inches from that distance you notice yourself moving your eyes across the screen rather than taking it in at once. (vistaview-43)
2–3 metres: Two to three metres is the sweet spot for the VistaView 55 — close enough that 4K detail is visible, far enough that the whole picture sits comfortably in view. (vistaview-55)
3.1+ metres: Beyond about 3 metres, 65 inches or larger is worth it. At that distance a 55 inch screen still looks good but stops feeling cinematic. (vistaview-65)

4K resolution means you can sit closer than you could with an older television without seeing pixels.
Mount height matters as much as size: the middle of the screen should sit near eye level when seated.
